Allie was first introduced to Pilates in 1988 as a part of her dance career with the Cleveland San Jose Ballet. In 2007 she obtained her certification through STOTT PILATES® . In 2013 she was thrilled and honored to have been asked by Tracey Mallett to become a Master Trainer for the BootyBarre®. She has enjoyed traveling the country and being a part of creating excellent barre instructors through the BootyBarre method.
Her other certifications include the PMA ( Pilates Method Alliance) and AFAA (The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), and The Pink Ribbon Program which is a Pilates based program designed to help women regain full range of motion to those areas affected after breast cancer surgery. She also completed the Pilates for MS and other Neurological Injuries course. She attended IDEA World Fitness conference in 2014 and took workshops and classes with Stott Pilates, the Gray Institute, Polestar Pilates and more. She is always working towards increasing her knowledge about the body, movement and Pilates.
She has a BA in sociology and performing arts from La Roche University. She danced in Pittsburgh with Laboratory Dance Company and Gia T. Presents. She was also an outreach artist with the Dance Alloy and Pittsburgh public schools. Prior to making Pilates her full time profession she worked as a therapist with children with special needs and at risk youth. She was also a senior therapist at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic’s discrete trial program for children with autism. During this time she and co-worker Amanda Doyle Stewart created CLIMB (creative learning in moving bodies) , a movement based class for children with special needs,their family members and friends.
She is the co-owner of Equilibrium Pittsburgh. She also continues to teach ballet technique and Pilates for Dancers at Allegro Ballet Academy and at her studio. She is passionate about helping empower people to find a healthier, happier self and introducing Pilates to all ages.
Laura started her career in health and fitness as a certified Spinning Instructor in 2001 and subsequently earned her certification for Personal Training through ACE (American Council on Exercise). First introduced to Pilates in 2004, Laura completed her comprehensive training at Harmony Pilates Studio in Shadyside. Laura attended IDEA World Fitness Conference 2014 and took workshops such as Core and Shoulder Dysfunction and Assessment with the Gray Institute, Athletic Conditioning on the Arc Barrel with Stott Pilates, Pilates and Yoga fusion with Lawrence Biscontini, and Mat for Mixed Populations with Christie Idavoy of Polestar Pilates. And of course, because of her love for spin, she took a few cycling workshops.
Laura has studied with Michele Larsson of Core Dynamics in Santa Fe and is committed to continuing her education through Pilates seminars and trainings.
Laura held the position of financial analyst with the May Company for 7 years. She has a BA in Merchandising and a MA in Teaching. After spending time teaching in Propel Elementary Schools, Laura decided to shift her love of teaching to Pilates.
Although currently on a leave of absence she has been a CASA (Court Appointed special Advocate) volunteer for 7 years. As a CASA Laura advocates for children in the foster care system.
Gretchen Dudek is a native of Franklin Park. She earned a professional writing degree from La Roche, and an MBA from Robert Morris College. She fell in love with yoga after her daughter Zoey was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at age 3. Finding she needed an outlet for the stress of caring for a child with a lifelong disease, a neighbor suggested she try yoga class. After walking into her first class, she knew it was a going to be an exciting journey. Gretchen is a 2007 graduate of Third Street Yoga and holds an E-RYT 200 certification through yoga alliance for teaching over 1000 hours of yoga. Gretchen is currently working on her full Pilates certification at Harmony Studio in Shadyside; she has completed her comprehensive in levels 1-3, and will finish level 4 in fall 2014. Aside from her love of yoga and Pilates, she also teaches The Booty Barre®, and was trained by the founder of The Booty Barre®, Tracey Mallett, in 2012. Gretchen’s classes are inspiring, and uplifting, and she leads with ease, humor and compassion.
Michelle Jones is a certified R.I.P.P.E.D. instructor in Western PA, and works full time as a project coordinator at a pharmaceutical company. She has 20 years’ experience as a fitness instructor with continuing education in group fitness, body sculpting and high intensity interval training programs. She was presented with the “Power Trainer” award for 2013 by the teams that participated in her offices Biggest Loser’s Challenge. This award was for designing and coaching an interval program that the teams participated in. During the BLC she was introduced to R.I.P.P.E.D. and fell in love with the program because not only is it fun, it focuses on form and modificatons. Soon after she became certified as a R.I.P.P.E.D instructor. With her encouragement R.I.P.P.E.D. has become the fitness program of choice here at her office by the BLC team members who have continued to work out and lose weight. Michelle’s class are full of energy and humor.
Michelle is also a certified bootybarre® instructor. She teaches bootybarre plus®, bootybarre Sculpt®, bbarre less® and Platinum bootybarre®.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three furry children, Shelley, Roxie and Heidi-Boo. As well as gardening and canning and preserving.
Tricia is a Stott Pilates® Certified Instructor for Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels Level 1. She is also a certified YUR Back™ Instructor through PHI Pilates.
Tricia discovered the rehabilitative benefits of Pilates after suffering from chronic back pain for over a year and only getting temporary relief with conventional therapies. Pilates has made a huge improvement in Tricia’s back health and her life!
With a background as a registered nurse, Tricia appreciates the connection between science, mind-body awareness and Pilates movement. She is passionate about her success and is eager to share her knowledge and practice so that others can safely keep active.

Angie started her love of movement as a dancer from a very young age. Pursuing dance, she moved to NYC to study at Marymount Manhattan College and The Martha Graham School for Contemporary Dance. Her career lead her to dance and teach nationally and abroad. Moving to Bermuda in 2001 she performed as a company member for the Bermuda Dance Company, National Dance Theatre of Bermuda, The Bermuda Civic Ballet, and was also full time faculty at The Jackson School of Performing Arts. While in Bermuda she was introduced to Pilates and became certified to teach Mat in 2001. She has since completed certifications through numerous Pilates programs including PHI and The Physical Mind Institute.
In 2007 while living in South Florida, she was looking to deepen her Pilates knowledge. Wanting to go back to basics and began training with Stott Pilates. Eventually adding multiple trainings and retrains to her study some of which include Reformer, Athletic Conditioning and Injury and Special Populations. Angie is also a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist. She works with cancer patients pre and post op using Pilates as the toll to help keep them strong while going through their cancer journey.
In 2003 she began and is currently working towards her 200 Hr RYT teacher training certification through YogaFit. Completing certifications in Levels 1, 2, 3, pre/post natal, seniors and kids yoga. After the birth of her first daughter in 2009 she was drawn to woman’s health pre/post pregnancy. Leading her to become a certified instructor for Stroller Strides and a group exercise instructor through AFFA.
In 2011, Angie was introduced to Barre classes and is a certified instructor with Tracey Mallet’s BootyBarre program. Being a mother of 3 young daughters, Angie’s passion is to be their role model by living a life of health and wellness.
Mary Lee has an extensive background in medicine. After she retired from clinical practice she spent countless years and energies raising four children. About eight years ago she decided to focus on health and fitness and is now a certified Personal Trainer, Weight Management Specialist and Group Exercise Instructor. She tried Pilates in January and loved its holistic focus on the core and breathing as a foundation to all movement. She teaches EQHeat at Equilibrium which includes a little bit of cardio, core and strength to give a well rounded start to the day!
Judy Coughlin-Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master
Judy left the corporate world of business, where she functioned in an executive capacity, to devote her time and energy to the healing arts. Judy’s journey in the healing arts has been one of on- going education and practice over the past 20 years. Beginning with the practice of Yoga , Judy was introduced to the energy of the breath as a connection to the self and the earth’s energy. She continues to practice yoga on a regular basis.
Reiki came into her life, making a major transformation in her approach to life. She has been attuned to all levels of Reiki from Level ! through the Master Level. Judy trained under William Rand, President of The International Center for Reiki Training and has been teaching Reiki since 2004. She is also a Master in several other healing energy modalities including Kundalini Reiki. In 2006 she studied Reconnective Healing under Eric Pearl.
In the Fall of 2005, Judy went on a Native American Vision Quest, under the guidance of Shaman Emery Forest, director of Spirit Hollow- a center for Shamanism and Spiritual Ecology. Her 10 day Vision Quest included spending 4 days alone in the mountains of Vermont, fasting and seeking spiritual guidance. It was a life altering experience.
Judy graduated from The Career Training Academy in 2007 and is a licensed Massage Therapist. She combines her knowledge and love of healing energy with the techniques of Massage Therapy to provide a truly therapeutic massage experience.
Judy holds a BS in Economics from Juniata College and a Masters in Business Administration from Boston College.
