Tricia Siclari
While dealing with debilitating low back pain and searching for treatments to feel better, Tricia discovered the freedom of movement that Pilates offers. She began her journey in her basement doing a Pilates DVD she took out of the library on her way home from a visit to a pain clinic. Feeling a little better with the exercises, Tricia was intrigued and motivated to learn more and began private training at Equilibrium. Soon after she was feeling the difference in her body and realized she would need to do this work for the rest of her life in order to strengthen her body safely to do the many activities she loves.
Inspired by Laura and Allie’s knowledge and their work with clients, Tricia began Pilates instructor training, one of her best decisions ever! Tricia is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher and loves working with all clients helping them to make discoveries and changes in their movement so they can move with ease and more understanding. Tricia loves to give her clients “tools in their toolbelts,” moves they can do to help themselves in their daily life. She keeps it fun and real while working hard.
Tricia is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher through the Pilates Method Alliance and earned her initial certification through Stott® comprehensive training. With so much to learn about the body and movement, Tricia is always questioning and researching and regularly attends continuing education to further her understanding and teaching. She is a certified Yur Back® instructor and most recently completed Balanced Body® CoreAlign training.
Pilates has given Tricia freedom of movement, keeping her active outdoors – biking, skiing, hiking kayaking, rollerblading and even yardwork! She totally agrees with Joseph Pilates belief that everyone should be doing his exercise method – “Contrology – the complete coordination of body, mind and spirit” and they would be a lot happier and on the road to health.
